I have one of these, and they make good storage for watches. The only thing you need to worry about is the grey colored foam which can scratch the case, so you need to make sure you wrap the watch case with the clear protective thin plastic wrap that comes with the watch to avoid hairline scratches.
People sell these all the time on ebay or hopefully your AD or a Panerai Boutique can get you one.

hard shell case
Any recommendation on a good small hard case for a 44mm luminor? I'm looking for a case to store my watch when I keep it in my bag when I don't wear it. Wotancraft has on, the time capsule, but it is currently out of stock.
Have you tried the carrying case
that comes w/ the watch when it's being returned from service?
