I feel the Cali dial just looks odd in a Luminor case. Something with the dial design and the crown protector doesn't match well
in my eyes.

11.300 € according to some sources, has to be confirmed ... and all that for a simple 2 or 3 hand watch .... nice look but I think the best times for black watches are over allready, the development dept. at OP should maybe wake up and try to convince us ...
I, on the other hand, find the 629 intriguing...
but it certainly looks like an...hommage...I think, I kind of like it but will reserve my judgement until after I'll see it live.

with you that on a Luminor, the Cali dial looks way...way...ODD. The watch looks positively "squat" and ungainly but....the word intriguing superseeds "ugly" in my mind, still

Hello guys, I don't know why Anthony is against idea of putting Cali face (1936) on 1950. I just made my choice and sent order form to my Panerai dealer. I hope I have a chance to get a very good discount. If someone is after 629 feel free to contact me.

on my list a few years ago when the 375 was released... but since then the brand has really grown (in a different direction)... the 629 just looks odd and I have had many Cali dials... there is a market for these pieces as Panerai keeps releasing versions...

I saw these in the metal this morning
But it disturbs me as I think the movement is a little too small for the watch. The seconds dial next to the "9" is a departure from the clean look of Panerai\'s past. Just my humble opinion.

Unfortunately only the "ladies" Panerai fits my wrist comfortable. So while I have owned some, I\'m now just standing and admiring from a distance
I believe that a Panerista....
will always be a Panerista (deep down, inside) Much like a biker that drives a car but, everytime he goes around a "funky" bend, does it in his....bike...banked out to the max and the earlobe scraping the tarmac

The 617 is not bad at all, is just that my days with Panerai has passed. But the 629 just doesn\'t look right to me. But again, very keen to see it in metal, hopefully sometime next week Best, Sam
