Indeed: sweeping statements...
Dear Patrick,
For what it's worth, I don't think it was meant to insult anyone, but I would certainly always hesitate to make sweeping comparisons. Mr Bonati could have just shown some real admiration for the Chinese market without comparing them. I was actually quite happy to see Chinese consumers being referred to in a positive way for a change.
ps: Ressence are Belgian, so you have nothing to be frustrated about... Best new brand in over a decade! :o)

He was talking about European luxury brand buyers in general - and he could have included Americans in that bucket also. He wasn't specifically referring to Panerai owners. And if in general Chinese luxury buyers are being more diligent about the brands a...
