Interesting.. an alternative to my favorite
Panerai movement...the original 2002/9. Dawned on my favorite panerai 368; but also in the 346... the power reserve indicator is executed more like the “Original-original” JLC movement in the panerai 190/197. I absolutely love this implementation of 8 day indicator on back. The newer one looks larger and more like the 422
Any thoughts on the Pam 796?
I've been waiting for an iteration of the p5000 movement with a PR indicator on the back. My only hesitation is the blue font for "8 days" on the dial. What do you think? J (photo from ablogtowatch) ...
For me it's just another modern Panerai.....
and, as such, for me it falls into the category: like it, don't like it. If you do you buy, if you don't you leave it in the shop.

The 368 is 47mm and too big for me
While I don't like the date window on the 346 The 796 is the first one that fits my requirements. I'm close to pulling the trigger!
Gotcha... yeah the 47mm is larger but it’s destro.
I see the 796 is 44mm destro so this will help with comfort as well. Good luck! I love the PR indicator on back. The 190 is a 45mm radiomir with no date. Darron

Had my sights on the Pam 190 but it's hard to find and a little out of my price range. Perhaps some day...
As with respect to to the blue text..
It is a similar design element to the newer panerai with blue small seconds hands... personal preference;

I forgot about this reference and tried to find something like the 368. I came across this post and realize we discussed it...Also found the 797. But that has indicator on the front.
