These "smaller" Panerai's are a pleasure.
Not really small when compared to more restrained sizes, but a PAM that will suit pretty much every occasion, including a boardroom.

..PAM439 with it's handome brown dial. BTW I've worn a Panerai in boardrooms (44mm-45mm-47mm) for....years

I went by my AD today, but they didn't have one in stock, and apparently haven't had one in a while. It's a nice recommendation, a different case, which should make it a good add Thanks for the recommendation.

I guess it\'s a little feeling you seem to describe when you wear your Tank...we love it, but somehow the nagging voices of others seems to play, and for no good reason too ;-) I plan to wear this for the whole month as I know I will grow to love it much ...

1940s case is fantastic, and as you said, a very clean dial. A really versatile beauty I think.

The color of the lume...
and the strap, as far as I know. The 512 has the yellowish lume for the more vintage appearance, and honestly, I do like that more. The new one has a green strap - now that is a statement that's not very much up my alley.
;-) I suppose it has it's place...
and I quite like this one as it is well matched with the case and the stitching on the strap.
