PAM232 - A New Addition in my Historic Panerai collection

 

After spending sometimes hunting, finally I got my PAM232, another historic Radiomir model in my collection.. I would like to thank a friend who helped me during the process of acquiring this watch. You know who you are, and I'm really grateful to have you as a friend.

Speaking about the PAM232, I'm sure most of you here know, it is a hommage of the reference 3646. While most people said that the 232 is one of the current Vendome model that has the strongest DNA  of the reference 3646 model, I used to underestimate the 232. I always thought that the 249 is a much better counterpart compared to the 232.





Some of my close risti friend actually asked me why did I buy the 232. Knowing what I previously purchased (PAM1A), they couldn't believe that I actually bought this watch. So to those who are still curious, I bought it because I think that this watch, along with the fiddy, 217 and 249 are the best of vendome models.





So let's talk about the watch, it has a 47mm steel case, solid case back, brown sandwich dial and gold hands. And unlike the 249, it has a flat sapphire crystal instead of the plexi like on the 249. I find it more versatile for everyday wear. And of course with a solid case back it has a greater water proof level compared to the 249.

I find that these 2 models are so close in their history but so different in the look but definitely completes one another.. I'm really happy with these 2 great Radiomir are now in my collection. I'm really enjoying their present on my wrist everytime I wear them.
