It’s weird and cool at the same time. I honestly think it will grow on the individual in time to come. California in Chinese is called “加州”。Theres a place in China called ”潮州”，or rather Teochew when translated into the English language. A ‘risti did say jokingly that this is a Teochew dial instead of a Cali dial. While I am not from China, I am ethnically Chinese. So the dial appeals to me even though it’s “bastardized” the Cali dial. Weird and cool….weird and cool.

Don't see any significance just adding a few Chinese numerals on the dial which can be done anytime of the year.

But to link to chinese new year with just a Chinese numeral dial is a little off.
I don't particularly like California dials and I'm not Chinese so unfortunately it does nothing for me.
I'm guessing Chinese people will love it though.
