Without a full compliment of box and papers are simply not worth the investment regardless of rarity etc

for those who put together "themed" ones, not for those (like me) that just hoard everything they like and then name the assembled heap (erroneously)...a collection. IMO of course

... which in essence have been additional specimen to limited series just make some additional profits... OOR standing for Out Of Range. Cheers Henrik

One of the best watches ive ever owned. No white gold markers and a flatter superior steel bezel.

the ETA movements which are 2 a penny. But workhorse reliable. Still doesn't justify the prices.

They are, for all intent and purposes..bonified LE..and the controversy surrounding them is just a political/ethical one, IMO. If someone mentions the OOR status of the watch it's telling the truth, not misinterpreting on purpose to fleece the client

It just reminds me of how I missed ALL the trains. I still scratch my head at times considering why I bought what I bought when I could have gotten a 232 or a 249 or a... I just need to be patient. Gotta believe in second chances Thanks for the education,... 

my friend. Many a time, while forking out "silly" amounts of money for stuff with an ETA/UNITAS movement inside, I had the same thoughts. If only the bug had bit me earlier or if I had known the existence of certain models (which I got to know about much ... 

I don’t mind that those pieces of old didn’t have an “inhouse” movement. In fact, I think part of the charm is that they were NOT inhouse. It just needed to WORK. I remember the first time that I cranked up that pre-owned Pam000 that I bought last year.. ... 

Are not necessarily better than the ETA/Valjoux movements that were used in the older models OP I, II, III etc. I was sold on my pam 87, 194, 64 for their design/looks rather than decorated movement. Each one of us have our own individual appeal for the b... 

Appreciate the education -- had never really looked at the Special Editions section of the Panerai website. Good to know. John
