between a 217 and a 380...

Historically both have a lot in common. But I know that true paneristi are quite „special“ about that. Maybe I should prefer my 111 instead... But the Radiomirs fit a lot better my small wrists 😉

they didn't JUST cross. The first Panerai, the second, third and so on, until 1993 were all ROLEXES, with the exception of the..dial (but the dial of the first Panerai produced was ALSO the Rolex's "California" one. The Rolex model 3646 was produced EXCLU... 

The pre Vendôme times in so far were the most fascinating of the Panerai history. I really love these old „Rolerai“ watches... ...  

you're referring to the VINTAGE times. The Pre-V "commercial" beginning has nothing whatsoever to do with this beauties
