I'm glad you shared your opinion. I found it different and probably the matte bezel, like those found on vintage subs had a certain influence.:) I don't mind it looking like a Rolex, after all they did share some common ancestry. Thanks for your honesty. ... 

When the photos first came out, I also saw it as a 'Prolex' and was not pleased. But when I saw it in person, I feel in love with what I happily discovered was a subtle, slate gray/black bezel, which is gorgeous and still suitably Panerai in its masculine... 

but as Nicolas said it's important that I like it and I do. :) I'm not much into the historical aspect of the brand and whether it retains the correct DNA ( I hate using that word for mechanical objects but you get my point. ) By nature and in my professi...

I have come to realize that you are the Panerai expert as indicated by your postings ONLY on the OP forum. Please excuse me for expressing my point of view which you have dismissed and kindly highlighted as “escapes you....completely”. I am a bit perplexe...

I still haven't seen one in the flesh yet so hope I get to soon. Btw, the ceramic bezel looks slightly domed. Is that correct? Cheers, Anthony

From what I can make out, the bezel ever so slightly curves downwards towards the rotating ring. The crystal is slightly domed. Hope you get to see one soon. cheers fernando
