I can tell you that it was almost impossible, at that time, to buy a Panerai which was interesting, as they were uber hot. There was also a strong community of hard core fans, old school boys.

Sad! I still have hope at one point they will realize this…unless they were not making money with that approach …

There are still some great watches, such as the PAM 372, 587, 662, 663...

Agreed, funny you mention 663! I like the dial of the 662 so much that sometime I wonder if the 663 should be next on the list! At least we still have some choices!

My first two PAMs were titanium in large part because they were in my opinion a little more subtle.

I would love to see a Big Egiziano, the GPF 2/56, but in 47 mm. THAT would be the top of the Submersible for me.

Well, I would answer Pre Vendome Logo, Marina Miltare and Mare Nostrum Slytech with the smooth bezel.

A quick google search says that the thickness of this 199 is 17mm and yet looks quite svelte on your pics. Maybe they included the cyclops in the measurement who knows. Love the 64 :-)

Yes, much thinner in the real! The Bomba looks and I think, is much thicker.
