There is a lot to love with Panerai. For me, the simpler the better. But I totally get your point. There are other brands which are worth attention and love. A Reverso is another great example.

Many years ago I used to own a Panerai GMT and I loved it. But when I grew older and started to make more money I started buying Rolex and Patek Philippe watches. And now that I have turned fifty it seems that my taste in watches (and brands) is changing ...

Panerai is great watch
I have PAM 1359 and I couldn't have believed the accuracy of Panerai's own movements. Mine has had deviation only a couple of seconds over the some days of period.
It is very personal and the interesting part of it is
