But as time went on I think the 520 would now be my choice. FWIW, I think the 518 is the nicest white dial the brand has ever produced.

I've seen them recently and was surprised how elegant and sophisticated they looked
PAM196 Daylight black dial was my first Panerai. Purchased in 2004. But the hands just looked too thin against that busy dial. The chrono hand looked even weirder. My choice would be the 520. The symmetry and the contrast just seem to fit inside the Radio...
