The dial outer rim color was it reflection or just natural patina?

. . . and the rim can appear darker than, or identical to, the central section, depending on the angle it's held to light. I believe it's 34 mm in diameter, but will check with my watchmaker's calipers next time I'm there to confirm. Best, Art
