I thought so too…
There is someone, I don't remember the specifics (but I do have his email address stashed somewhere…), who is able to repair these bezels, originally made of bakelite, and now often found in very bad shape.
From what I have seen, he does a very good job. And the restored polymer bezel is more solid than the original… which makes the watch far more wearable.
I believe with Kurt that this one appears too good to be original. But it looks fantastic.
