Omega Service Centers going away?
I just had a chat with Jan at Nesbit's Fine Watch Service in Seattle and this is the latest news from Omega. The change in status will be effective in January. Nesbit's will still provide Omega service as they have for 17 years and will be able to get parts, but they won't be able to perform warranty service. If it's acceptable to the forum moderators, I'd like to ask her to post the details in this thread so that we have facts instead of rumors.
For those not in the Pacific North West, Nesbit's is the Omega Service Center in the region and they provide excellent service with none of the drama I've read about from other SCs in the US. Their work is easily on par with STS and Bienne for almost everything and they are much more accessible (phone, email) and friendly than Bienne are.
