Thanks for the reply Bill. I'm sorry about the link to the auction... didn't know I couldn't post such messages! Very new here...
My doubt, however, was not whether to own a 354 or not (you can never go wrong!)... but rather what price range I should have aimed at... But again, with such items it's not really how much they're worth but how much you want them! Am I wrong?

for a non-chronometer seamaster cal. 354 with a stainless steel screwback case that is all original (non-refinished dial) is $200-400 depending on condition. I would say a bit less if in gold cap (perhaps 10-15% lower) and quite a bit more if in 14k-18k g...
