Hi,
I wondered if any of your members could shed light on this fine piece of craftsmenship.I am well acquainted that Omega introduced the exclusive jeux d'or 'Emeraude' range in 1972 and later added the jeux d'argent range in 1974.I have seen one,or two Emeraude examples listed on Ebay and professional watch sites, but not like this. The only other know example is on the front of a Mexican Omega Catalogue, from the 70,s,from the very excellent 'old-omegas' website, posted with my pictures. The bracelet is formed in such a way, that each piece must be attatched and linked, before the next can be added, unlike millanese type bracelets, this seems to be pure handwork !
The bracelet is such a distinctive design and I have to say,a 'tour-de-force' of 70's jewellery and watch design brought together at the same time - who designed such a thing ?
The watch is solid 18k white gold and weighs approx.110 grms and has the distinctive emerald cut, rock sapphire watch crystal. The movement,if my memory serves me correctly is from the 600 series,I believe it to be 612 ? - but it slips my mind.I am torn between selling this and a 30t2rg I have - one on technical merit, one on aesthetics. Some advise would be appreciated and any extra information,I do not want to sell something I live to regret.
Best Wishes
Alex
