hi everyone....
I am very excited about these... But I was also excited about the Alaska Project along with Chuck Maddox ...and once we saw it we both did not buy...( had them on order).
ok back to the new Seamasters...
The original was issued in 34 mm std size and they made a smaller amount in " Jumbo" 36 mm size.. still with 18 mm strap width.
The new issue is in 38 mm and I dont know the strap size... the devil is in the details here... need someone to post wrist shots.. This is something that needs to be held to really get to the bottom of it.... and how it sits on the wrist....

Though not longer but I wish it was a bit thicker... Or used alpha hands π ...
The vintage handset looks much more proportionate than the new one IMO.
And it's not just that they're short relative to the overall case size and dial, but that they appear disproportionate (length of hour hand relative to length of minute hand).
The more I look....
Seems that the hour hand got the same size as the subsecond hand on other version, lol! π But idk, I prefer this one cz it's easy to differentiate between the minute and hour hand now as sometimes I got confused with mine while reading the time in a glanc...

Next year probably they going to produce one with gilt black waffle dial, and platinum case... And it's out of my reach π

personally i like the subsecond subdial version. IMHO the hour hand seems too short on the other version - or is it only me ?! Best, mahesh.,
I agree, visually it seems too short....
But so does the minute hand, but I wonder if this is just an optical illusion due to the minute markers being so close to the center of the dial instead of back where we are used to them. Obviously just a design choice, but the dial seems sort of βoffβ. ...
I think these two watches are brilliant...
....my only complaint would be the engravings on the case back crystal. Does anyone know the process for purchasing these watches? Pre-order? Boutique only? Thanks.

Yuck. The hour hand is way too stubby. It should at least be long enough to touch the tip of the dagger hour markers.
This is the Omega version of the Rolex hour hand debacle when they released the Explorer I in 39 mm diameter for the first time. That hour hand was way too small as well.
Even worse is the elongated seconds hand. Hard to believe Omega . . .
. . . couldn't get a matter this obviously wrong sorted out. Perhaps these are mock-ups awaiting correction in the production process. Art
