1506 not practical

 

  Hi Velociphile,  I would love to have one but I doubt I would wear it, the ones that I have come across were either too expensive or beat and stretched out. I would like to wear the 1171 and have a comfortable fit and a vintage look, considering 99.9% of people would never know it was the wrong reference#. I've tried many leather straps and although they look good and are very comfortable they just aren't practical for the hot sunny days we've been having. Today I wore my 30.10 RA with a medium mesh bracelet and the difference was quite remarkable compared to the leathers. When you mention the heavy Omega Mesh are you referring to the "Shark" mesh? I have given that a thought too but I was worried about the adjustments for that bracelet and could I adjust it down to fit my slight wrist? Thanks for your input I'll probably try the 1171 and maybe a 20mm version of the one I wore today.   Jim

Jim, I assume you can't find the (likely) original 1506? If it were my money, for this particular piece, I would go for the 1171 as the 'closest' OTP readily available fit - with stamped end pieces and the vintage rattle aesthetic. It is also a 'light' br...

JIm, See PM. Re the Omega mesh is small out of the box and many need the extension - even daisy chaining them. The std mesh length is 150mm. Some do not like the way you can see springbars through the ends - in that case there are other (Non Omega) mesh o...
