Looking at the serial number the watch dates from circa 1910
The 7 jewel.movement would have been exported uncased to the USA and cased locally.
The case is American and NOT solid gold . It is what is known as "gold filled"" i.e. a thick plate of brass sandwiched by two thin plates of gold.
