Recently, I have been ordering my straps with boxy style padding, which I think looks a lot better. The cream side stitch can look nice too, although in this case I kinda wish I had gone dark grey for that stitch. On a very soft leather like this one, it ...  

I generally order my straps without any padding due to the rectangular shape of my wrist. In my experience a lot of the padded strap cause discomfort after a while.

The amount I wasted thinking that way. Most recently the Artem strap.

I think the cream stitching was a good choice for the Speedmaster to align with all of the white of the dial and hands. All the best, Jon
