Well, I bought an Ed White a year ago . . .
. . . but still waiting for delivery. I've owned two Mk II Speedmasters in the past but both are long gone. This is the first Pro in my possession. Planning on visiting my watchmaker Friday to assess its performance; might not wear it 'til then.
I was talking to a collector that specializes in '69s . . .
. . . who was impressed by its condition. As well he should, seeing as how it had been literally found in a drawer after four decades. The original owner was Fern Pacquet, a horse chariot driver (or would it be jockey?) who was awarded the Speedmaster for...

Afraid the lume on indices, hands will fall off, and will be so sad…
It has a few issues so not quite a museum piece . . .
. . . but even if it were a perfect specimen I'd still wear it. I might not go horse racing with it, but that's another story.

Can't wear it yet as there are some issues that need to be resolved . . .
. . . and my hunch is it requires a thorough tear-down from my Omega-certified watchmaker even though the seller claimed his watchmaker serviced it. Warmest, Art
I feel that your feelings are the best/safest way to proceed in this case. It will delay a bit the pleasure of wearing but you´ll be assured to have the watch in optimal condition of use.
