despite what we regularly see on fleabay, i dont think the 6xx calibres were ever used as military watches Art, however, there are a lot of these dials around. most are refinished in this style because sellers think thats what we want, but i just dont believe they can all be refinished. there must be some semblance of originality behind these military looking dials.
now i agree that this was never commissioned. but its entirely possible that this dial came out of a seamaster 600 and has been swapped over into the geneve case.
i think its a case of never say never, yet again.

Hi, relying to the Omega website this Ref should be OK with cal. 601 - the dial might be legit - I do not know why you doubt? What does concern you? regards erich

you see quite a lot of cal 6xx's with military looking dials
a lot are for sale in far east and i'm never sure if they are redialled so i avoid them, but this looks ok to me. G

..another thing is some years dont really match to logic as arent these 601s supposed to be of 60s to 70s production? so why the military dial? vietnam war or korean? well i'm an amateur so excuse my plenty of questionings...
