Disappointing to me
I tried a couple of these Speedy 57's--one with a band and one with a bracelet at the Omega Boutique in Orlando. I do have a smaller wrist so coming in to the store, this version was my dream Speedy. The in-house coaxial movement, sapphire case back, and date function all wrapped up in a reasonable 41.5mm package was "perfect" for my next watch. I just needed to confirm my impressions. Wow, was I wrong. As others have mentioned, the watch is thick. And I don't necessarily mind a thicker watch, but the lugs to me are disproportionally long and straight so the watch did not sit well on my wrist. There was a pretty big gap between the strap and case. The bracelet helped a little, but not much.
Much to my surprise, the large co-axial 44.25mm Speedy had much shorter and curved lugs that made the watch hug my wrist better. I even got to try on a DOSM and it was really nice, light, and looked fantastic. I still love the look of the Speedy 57's, but they're just not for me.
