I started my horological journey in 1997 one year out of school and securing a decent job. At the end of one year of employment, I wanted to mark the occasion with my first "real watch" purchase. Mind you, at that time, I was only aware of Rolex and Omega...  

. . . was wrong: you can go back home again! :-) Wonderful story, oc - kinda like getting tired of a favorite dish at a local diner, then rediscovering it with a new twist at another restaurant ;-) . . .

Thanks Art...finally wanted to go and explore the wonderful horological world that's out there..and to to do what I have always wanted to... and actually..I been looking Zenith as well..!

i will admit to also owning a speedmaster auto 'reduced', but i bought it for its lovely white dial, something difficult to obtain on a speedy pro. your speedy pro is a great purchase, especially finding one from the correct year, but i also think that as... 

The Reduced was actually my most accurate and consistent piece among my collection with its ETA movement...No matter the position I rest it on, it was always dead on...and you are so right about just set it and let it go... I am sure going to miss it...bu...

I remembered you had a collection of older Speedies..so.. but yeah..it feels pretty good..and its my first venture into the (neo) vintage..
