This watch was purchased back in January 2005 as a reward to myself prior to buying the 3573.50. Considering this watch housed the Val. 7751, i must say, its accuracy is as good as my Chronometre Colt or even the 3573.50. I have never opened the caseback ...

the trouble with it was the silver dial, silver bezel, steel bracelet and case etc made it all a bit bright for my liking. the watch itself is an excellent timepiece and there are several variations. a good all purpose watch. best graham

...you, such simple logical design flaw if one may call it... i am surprised Omega people did not notice LOL... I had once had a Tag silver dial and i just sold it after 6 months, it was a gift..

...Valjoux 7751 module, it will cost them more to be able to modify it to become a GMT function at the 9'oclock subdial. which i presume by adding another disc to the central disc in order to make it a GMT indicator. it is a AM / PM indicator at the 9 0'c... 

Bought new in '94 when they were first released, never had a bit of trouble with it and like the OP said, it's deadly accurate. Mine is actually a cal.1150, which preceded the cal.1151 for a very short time, the only difference as far as I am aware is tha...

The black version is the best looking

..Black is the colour for watches... i dont know, i just like black dialed watches...numbers and eveything on the dial appears more oustanding on black dials... just my opinion..

except the 861. i have i think about 8 or so speedies, most with cal 861 or the lemania derived 1401. there is a story behind this, but i shant bore you. generally i find the omegas fm the 70s n early 80s have les marketing BS, and have greater product in... 

Mine comes with the moonphase. It is also based on 1150 a modification on 7750. The ETA is very accurate and robust....

Me too I'd like to see and photograph the back side of my Speedmaster, but I know that a wrongly opening could affect the water-tightness of the watch, without considering that I could scratch the case!

it comes to ETA / Valjoux movements as opposed to maybe Lemanias, or manufacture Chronograph movements by Lange, GO, PP, Zenith, Breguet or even Daytona Rolex is quite interesting to look at aesthetically. But its good to know how Omega modifies a standar... 

heartbreaker, what country are you in? if your in UK or northern Europe i can put you in touch with a superb watchmaker who will do it for a fraction of Omegas costs and give a years guarantee. several members have used him and i use him for everything. o...

not just Omega's KC, he's Rolex, Breitling, ETA etc trained so can do pretty much anything. he was the only man in UK to pass the Rolex course in 2009. a very difficult course i'm led to believe. best G
