But apparently the blue is less "punchy", but is "cleaner". Think it's a matter of taste rather than one being better than the other

Audio-technica has become my choice for both in ear and headphones. Never tried the dragonfly Oh , by the way the dark side of the moon is the icing on the espresso ;-)
Wish there was a way I could sit down in an audiophile store and rifle though a bunch of earbuds.
The Dragonfly makes a HUGE difference. I highly recommend to anyone that has decent earbuds and CD quality input (I stream Qobuz hi res) especially for this price.

PS 1000 e...I like the sound but the craftsmanship is less than you would expect for the $$$. Would like to try them against a pair of Focals. ...
