Omega

The other day I ran into an Omega I never heard or seen before! I didn’t get it, but it made me very curious… I happily admit that I far from know a lot about Omega but from the look of this model I think I should at least have heard about it or seen it b...  

This is a small Railmaster with a small second instead of the central second of the Railmaster. I don't think it is amagnetic, too. Nice watch, but the Railmaster is the real mac coy, IMO. Best, Nicolas. This message has been edited by amanico on 2010-08-... 

It seams like you are the first to answer my every post! So, what you are saying is that the Ranchero is a smaller version of the Railmaster. Sub-seconds and no anti-magnetic? Do you know approx diameter? When you say small, ladies size small? Thank you! ...

Because there are so many misrepresented frankens available online. I own a modern Railmaster, but getting a correct older vintage of it, or a Ranchero is like walking a minefield these days. No good solution except to do the homework and BUY THE SELLER a...

Lately I have been looking into vintage Omega divers, when I saw this one I got really confused… That’s why I asked. I think if/when I start my Omega journey it will probably be with something more in the line of SM 120/200 or a Speedy… ...

you couldnt go far wrong with the 4.5 Blomman. a good 70's auto that does everything you need. very well built and not as heavy as the speedmaster 125. its only anomally is that it has a seamaster caseback so if you see one that is normal and from the fac...

i found mine the same way Art, advertised you know where as not working, crown missing etc. picked up for pennies and sent to Omega. it came back as a bargain buy with a 2 year warranty and in spotless condition. best Graham

You should do it with a Seamaster 120/200/300 or a Connie… Chronographs tend to be too busy for my taste. I guess now that Nicolas is on vacation you guys try to lure a JLC-fan over to this side..? Eh? Best Blomman

Go for a Seamaster 165.024. I had one true vintage that I let go. I keep this one, made with parts from AU, and I'm very happy with it, provided that you take good care of the plastic bezel insert. Or, if you want a future classic, go for a PO. Same style...  

i fully agree on the sm300 Nilo as i have 3 of them i have a 165.014 thin bezel, a 165.024 and a 165.024 which i had refurbed, all from 1964 of course. your Watchco model is a great alternative to an original vintage as its more usable. great watches and ...

thanks Blomman, buying a vintage SM300 is a bigger minefield than buying a ranchero as they are possibly the most faked omegas in existance, mainly the thick bezel model and 'military issue' pieces. to gently start your journey i'd be inclined to recommen...
