I have your same Omega.
My first “serious” watch, and I still like it better than any of the models since. The wave pattern on the dial is more subtle, not noticeable in most light. The only pop of color is the tip of the sweep second hand. And the 3:00 date feels balanced against the white marker on the left. I wear it all the time: it’s the beater, the travel watch, the one I don’t need to worry about.

Rest easy, Alex - your Seamaster 300 . . .
. . . is a Bond. The easy way to tell is that it has a helium valve at 10. Pre-Bonds don't. As for preference, Omega cal 1120 movements can be tended by any watchmaker, which makes them a better long-term choice if servicing is an issue. Best, Art

I just can’t say which one I like the most but the truth is that having a movement that can be repair easily anywhere is a really important to have in consideration when you buy a watch. All the best my friend.

I used to have the black dial “mid-size” version of this watch. If I’d have purchased the full-size version, in either black or blue, I’m fairly confident I’d still have it. Keep yours.
