I wonder if there's a recent increase in attention . . .
. . . paid to the automatic Mark Speedmasters from collectors, now that Professionals have appreciated so much in the last few years. Even previously neglected '70s Speedy Pros are commanding interest these days.
Not that I'm paying close attention, but it seems natural that some collectors will gravitate towards them. They're still in decent supply, and parts widely available. These could well be the 'next wave' in Omega collecting.
Thanks for sharing yours, Mark. I believe yours is an heirloom from your father, if memory serves correct.

I think that on the opposite of my experience, people knowing it with a bracelet may find it strange with a strap but I think it definitely is worth a try. And I agree with you about the bracelet I discovered not that long ago and I prefer the ones we see...

I didn't follow Omega models' evolution regarding collecting in the past...
...but from what I know of these Speedies, their history and looking what exists around this price level I think they are indeed worth of considering. You indeed recall very well Art, this was my father's, bought around 1980 with its original shark strap....
