i didnt mean the date of the watch was 1995...the one i'm looking at is pre owned, looks in great shape, uses calibre 1151 so its not the newer certified 3606 chronometer...thoughts on pros/cons on this watch using the older calibre?

Anyone have any thoughts on this watch (in blue)? I do not know a lot about Omega but would love to know your thoughts and feedback. Is this a watch that you would pick up pre-owned with box and papers? thanks very much! Mark
Are you referring to the 3222.80?
You didn't post any pix. Very nice watch. The Omega 3606 movement is based on the Valjoux 7751. Never owned one, but I do like the hues of biue Omega uses for their watches.
A friend of mine has one in this same blue and I like it too.
But he is a larger person and this watch is not that large. The guy wears his Moonwatch more nicely in my opinion. So, Mark, if you have a wrist measuring, say, 7 inches in circumference, this watch may be a bit on the small side. Taste and preference may...

There has been no specific complaint about that older movement. You should be fine.
As long as you like the look of the watch and don't mind resetting the whole calendar after the power reserve is out. Not a difficult task but some would say a bit tedious and not favorable when you grab a watch and have to leave home in a hurry. Ruckdee

The deal was too good for me to pass up so I wound up buying the watch today, even though I'm out of town so I cant wait to see it and try it on this Monday when I get back.
