My one and only...

... vintage Omega from the 50's.  I know nothing about it except that it's a bumper.  I've had this piece for a decade or so.  I chanced upon it in a friend's showroom.  There was something about it that spoke to me.  I told him that I wanted it and off it went from being shown further to being wrapped.  I wasn't even sure if the hands, crown, etc. were period correct.  It looked right ;-)

I had it checked out by our local Omega service center and was advised to have it sent to Bienne for servicing. But I was quoted a sum that was worth more than what I paid for the watch!  So years later, it still sits hidden inside a cabinet.

I may have a picture of the movement in one of my old hard drives.  I've shared this piece years ago in TP when we still didn't have an Omega forum.  Back then, I was advised to have it cleaned, sent to Bienne, etc.  Well, sorry to disappoint you guys.

I haven't given up on this one.  But I have a few pieces that are in the queue for servicing so it will have to wait for probably another decade if it's to get a proper cleaning from Bienne. 

What I love about this piece outside of its nice design cues (applied markers, arabics, dial, cross hair, lugs) is that it wears pretty well for something that's probably 35 or 36mm?

I say there's nothing UNmanly about wearing watches smaller than 37mm

The Milgauss looks big here but not quite in person.  My wrist can take a max of 44mm but struggles to wear anything that's bigger.

I have yet to see a vintage Omega here with these kind of lugs, btw.
