Omega

Not A question of well known...

Hi francois

It is not a question of being well know.   It is a simple way to create separate distribution channels.   Most of the Canadian "Omegas" were signed Louis Brandt ...

My first year DDR has a simple " Omega" signed dial  ( 1905)  .  Just about all the other "Omega" Railroad grade watches  that I have found in Canada all were signed Louis Brandit on the dial and movement.

On a side note...   I have met Mr. Peter Kushnir (Master Watchmaker for the Canadian Railroad ).  One of his additional claims to fame was that he wrote the spec and requested Zenith to make a modern pocket watch in the mid 1950s.   Zenith created the Zenith EXTRA RR 56 ....

Once I get a little time I will get photos together of all the OMEGA  Canadian  railroads...

Good Hunting
