I am only doing the movement, I haven't doen anything to the dial except remove the dustspots. It's actually better condition than the photos show (as in brighter and less grainy). The case is to be left alone as a polish will tart it up too much.

The Radium on the dial is all but dead. I checked it with a gieger counter (really! We have them here at work). But it's another reason not to touch the dial nor the hands (which are actually a very nice blue). So I guess the answer to the Radium question is: not disturb it and keep the watch nicely sealed.
