Speedmaster decision HELP

HI, I'm stuck between a new Speedmaster Professional and the 50th Anniversary model. The gold emblem and small red omega don't appeal to me that much, but it has a Saphire crystal and is a limited production, although almost 6000 pieces and considerably more expensive, and I honestly like the look of the regular Pro more, it looks sportier, but I am concerned about the hexalite crystal. I'm pretty hard on watches and plan on wearing it for everyday use, and worry about constantly scratching the hexalite. I wear a Suunto Vector that is scratched to hell, and my old Tag 2000 from 18 years ago looks almost perfect. I've smashed the crystal, but it never scratches. ideally I would like a Speedmaster Pro with a saphire crystal face, and since I am being picky would prefer a chronometer. The day and day date don't appeal to me as much, and the limited edition coaxial is out of my price range.

Does anyone know if Omega is planning on a Speedy Pro with Saphire any time soon?

The date and day date were recently replaced with chronometer models, would they come out with a Speedy Pro chronometer?

Is the Saphire sandwich much more expensive? I would prefer a steel back, but it is an option. Dealers in Toronto don't seem to carry it, and I was in London last week and nobody had it and Harrods said it was discontinued.

Also, anyone have a good honest and reasonable AD in Canada or Chicago (I'll be there in a couple of weeks).

thanks for any help or advice.

Shawn
