Thanks for the extra info.....I have to say I'm a big fan of sapphire on the front even though everybody says the warmth of the hesalite is fabulous.
I'm very dissapointed with Omega with the 50th anniversary piece though - it is everything i could have ever dreamed of for the anniversary piece but the price is just ridiculous..!!! I would happily have paid a slight premium but not nearly 3X the ammount. Your report fully explains why the original is perfect anyway.....who needs the 50th model..!!
This now means there are a couple of watches I want though..!!
