thanks Dave.   it takes...

thanks Dave.

it takes time and effort to find bargains. no
disrespect to the wealthy, but anyone can walk down Bond street with an Amex
card and buy nice new watches, but to find a nice vintage is a different
story. as our moderator would put it, its a hunt.

as for the pics, i'm really no expert. i have a
Panasonic Lumix LX3 which is the same as the Leica Dlux 4. for a point and shoot
they are quite expensive, but very good.

Amanico has the Leica and his pics are far far
better than mine so skill has a lot to do with it.

i use natural daylight and the camera has 1cm
macro focus so you can get nice and close up. i just leave it on intelligent
auto mode which shows how little i know.

i also hand hold it, but you might be better to
get either a full size tripod or a mini pod and use the timer to prevent any
movement.

take time to experiment. the good thing about
digital is it doesnt matter if you take a load of shots that are
rubbish.

at the end use photoshop just to alter the
exposure etc a little bit. not too much ,but just a bit to improve
things.

i am really no expert, but hope those little
tips help.

best

Graham
