. . . I've seen photos of the very same type on a few different 30T2rg's, so my presumption that it was original to the watch was apprently misplaced. As for a replacement buckle, mrsnak's generous offer of his spare will do just fine for the time being. ... 

Hi if you post a picture with the balance wheel stopped, we could check the balance, and see if it is cut and bimetallic, as well as the escapement to see if it is the chronometer-grade one. Also count if it has the original 16 balancing screws. The 262 b...

Hi Art, You may lean back, the balance is bimetallic and cut, the screws look beautiful (but can not be counted in the picture though) all looks commensurate to the rest of the watch. The anchor (pallet fork) is beveled and polished as it should... The au... 

.... I had not noticed the OXG mark, which was used by Omega on watches imported to US. That means that the information that it would give you a standard Omega extract is already obtained. Yes, balance and pallet are correct and nice. A very nice chronome...

Hi Art, I think your watchmaker will not find any serious I guess when judging from the overall condition of the movement. No rust at all, screw heads in vg condition which shows that it had been treated with care by the previous watchmakers! Cleaning and... 

... have discussed the movement, perhaps I can help a little bit with the buckle and crown. My semi-educated guess is that the original crown probably did not have the Omega symbol. However, it was common for watchmakers to replace the crown during routin...
