Omega

I just bought this Omega with a 26.5SOB movement. It looks OK to me, but I am no expert. I can't find any info about this dial/case combo. Anyone recognize this or seen one before. It is unusual. It has a copper or rose gold bezel which is also unusual ...  

I thought it had to be valid, but info about this dial and case is hard to come by. I wish it was a 30T2 variety. This one is a little small.

The size is usally for this time. With a little bit of love from a good watchmaker, not to much love - restoring everything to new, you had a perfect watch. Congrats!

According to the serial number, the watch is from 1939. In those years, Omega sold tons of watches with that movement, and with a very large number of diferents designs. I have one with serial number of 12 millons, and I never saw another one with exactly...

. . . but what's especially interesting is the rose gold bezel on an otherwise steel case. That 's unusual. I'm not really up on pre-30 movements, but the 26.5SOB was a mainstay just prior to the introduction of the 30, and fitted until stocks presumably ... 

I posted this on omega forum as well and someone posted the catalog page from 1940. It is ref CO2063 with what it called Acier Mixe. I assume that loosely means mixed metal. I was fortunate enough to find this in a lot on ebay for $78. No direct pictures ...

Hello! Sorry this is 5 years after the post but I believe I have the same watch. The movement is the same and all the characteristics match up as well. Do you have any more information on the watch or pictures from the original catalog? -Josh ...

I believe it’s the CK 2063. The only thing is that the Roman numeral for 1 is after the 10 making it 11. I’m a little confused by that, I think it’s likely an error from when a watchmaker may have repainted the dial. Any thoughts? ...
