. . . is as ill-fitting as it is handsome. (The photo above is the 44 mm 2003 Speedmaster rattrapante on an alternate strap.).
Omega's racing strap fits between the lugs . . .
. . . and looks the business, but the fit is less than stellar. After shelling out close to four figures for the strap and deployant I had to get a saddle leather racing strap custom made that fortunately fit perfectly.
Basically, don't do it . . . the result is less than the sum of the parts.

The one Michael posted is almost perfect except that there is the gap between case and strap end. The older rally strap I asked about doesn’t have the gap (in pictures), but otherwise doesn’t overall look as nice as Michael’s version. The gap isn’t a deal...

To be clear, by “fit” of the racing strap in second picture, you mean it didn’t sit/wear well on your wrist, correct? As you mentioned it, I really like the idea of a custom strap too. It doesn’t have to be gap-less, just minimized.🙏🏽
Either one side of the Omega strap or the other . . .
. . . would not fit flush; it would pop up at an angle. The strap worked on the larger rattrapante Speedy case but not on Professionals.
