The hidden benefit of Omegas before they switched to co-axial escapement movements is that any watchmaker can work on them. Swatch-trained independent watchmakers can work on first-generation (ETA 2892-based) co-axial movements but not later in-house models.
My Railmaster is due for service but neither of my watchmakers can work on it . . . it has to go back to Omega.
