I don't think that usually happens in a context such as this one. But you're right to have a regular one to represent the "closest one among the modern versions" .. people often miss that

... as a matter of fact own one of each variant presently in the catalog: hesalite and closed case back and the so called "sandwich" with saphire over dial and on the glass case back which lets view the beautiful 1863 movement which is very very accurate ... 

... last November thanks to my son presently living in Barcelona with his family and a contact with a good friend and collector in Spain. He found a NOS complete set and my son bought it for me. I will post soon with that watch I was desiring so much. Gla... 

The watches are well known but that Victorinox Apollo - I have never seen anything like it: the blade seems heavily decorated; I really like it. Can you tell us more (pieces produced etc.)

... Albacete, Spain. He is a true artist and he mantains and has evolved in a high art the traditional work with "Aqua Forte" which he combines with other techniques, like engraving and email to make his works. He makes special unique pieces from time to ...  

That is even more special than I thought! No wonder I could not find any for sale

... but I think he made another batch of four pieces with a different color of the aluminun scales. This was a very short series indeed. As you can see there is the signature of the artist as well. The inscription and work is made with an special big loup...

... future. I had a rather large collection of his works as I´m also fond of knives both vintage and modern. Absolutely agree that if you travel to Spain and have some time to spare to visit Albacete. You´ll enjoy so much visiting this "City of Blades" of...  

... are the series he makes mostly in Victorinox knives. They sell almost instantly because he has some followers who wish to have one of each of his works. But sometimes he offers unique pieces as well. So you collect knives as well? I´ve been collecting... 

I will do a bit more research on this artist and hopefully I will be able to purchase one of his works of art in the near future 👍
