You're probably right, Thomas, about the reference . . .
. . . and I'll check with Uncle Harold to see if he's had the dial refinished. He indicated the crystal had been replaced, but said nothing about the dial yesterday. The case didn't seem larger than 35 mm, which led me to believe it's not one of the jumbo references.
Was ref 2400 limited to the Sovereign models for Sweden?

Omega ref 2383 . . .

Here is one of my 2400 (-7). Here in Sweden more known as "Suverän". 35 mm, screw back steel case from 1945. Inside is Cal 30 T2 PC. But as you can see, different case, more straight lugs on the Suverän. Best Blomman ...

. . . which was a guess on my part. It's not a 'jumbo'; Thomas could well be right that it's a ref 2639. I'll have to ask Uncle Harold for a second look with a case wrench and calipers in hand! Art

My guess is a 2639, and i think the dial has been redone. The minutetrack on the subdial is the give away, they are to far from the edge. There is one 2639 on Chrono24 with the same type of dial. Best Thomas

2639 was made in large numbers, with many different dials and different hands also. The 2639 on Chrono24: Suverän 2400 was exclusive for Sweeden, easy to se just look at the back. Best Thomas ...
The last image contained another clue . . .
. . . as to the reference, Thomas. I'm going to go out on a limb with ref 2383, which is consistent with the size of the case, and which I doubt is more than 35 mm. Gratefully, Art

But the 2639 looks to have straight (angled) lugs. The one in Art's photos looks to have more rounded lugs. Best Blomman
Thomas may indeed be right. My sense of the diameter . . .
. . . of Uncle Harold's Omega is that it's no more than 35 mm, which is why I'm predisposed to assuming it's one of the smaller references. The only way to really tell is by taking the back off; I'll try to do just that in the near future. Art
