... the gold versions of the 5711 are a harder sell because it is a simple watch with a SS (A) version of the watch. The majority of collectors want the hardest to get (the 5711/1A) or nothing at all.. that and there isnt much difference between the white and the steel but a big difference in price (approx a third more of the price of the SS than for the WG)
I agree, if i were to spend the extra $8K-ish, i would go for the rose gold bc its a very different watch

5711g looks to plain to me and to grey, the 5712g on the other hand comes to life with the complications on the dial. The 5711r looks great and sold better I believe.

Not so far
I am just saw one which was very well priced. And I normally simple dial layouts works for me in the lon run. Initially I can get excited about more busy layouts, but after a while they do not speak to me any more How certain are you about the 200 number?...
anyone that claims they really know production
numbers of the model must be a PP insider because PP does not release these numbers. I think you can pick up a WG 5711 in the low 20's. If you like it go for it. its a beautiful watch.
