5004 production...
When the 5004 was initially introduced I think the earliest records indicate production started with 879500. I own one of the very last 87998x which I believe may have been produced in 2002/3. After the very last watch we presume to be 879999, production was halted for a period of time. When production of this watch resumed some years later, production began possibly in 2007/8 with movement number: 3275000. I have not personally found any late 5004's with a movement number past 3275200 so already from that it is presumed there are at least 700 5004's out there.
What will be interesting is at what movement number the new steel 5004A limited to just 50 pieces will begin at?
