Patek Philippe

Heard it through the grape vines,

it seems patek 5004 was at first considered a general production piece as like patek 3970, due to the expensive price tag back in the mid 90's, a small supply were produced.  Then Patek came out with 5101P, and that caused 5004 production virtually to a stand still as  most watchmakers had to put all their effort into making this new tourbillon.  Rumor has it, between 2002-2005, no 5004 watches were produced, which in turn made most collectors starting to worry. So much so, when the new batches of 5004 re-surface again, it created a frenzy for colletors to want to get their hands on them.

all in all, i am guessing 5004 was produced in total about 13 out of the 16 years.  if we say 20 pieces per year, that would still make the total number to be less than 400, probably lesser.

what do you guys think ? mr. Imran im sure will like to add to it.

anyone who has more info, please share with us ....
