Patek Philippe

I bought this beauty in the late 1990's. I love how the dial is starting to form patina. notice the difference between the markers & the date wheel.

The best patina is from use...do you wear this much? It looks unused. Is it just more rugged than I realized or is this a collection piece?

it recently had a factory service. everything but the dial was serviced.

To me this particular batch of dials looked problematic from the beginning. First, the hour markers do not align with the hands. Patek worshippers tried to rationalize these misaligned markers as a sign of deliberate artistic move. Yeah, right...So how co... 

I happen to own precisely the same Aquanaut model. I was careless (I suppose) and took it sailing and swimming in the Med early June 2012 with the crown not closed sufficiently tight. Moisture penetrated into the watch and it had to be serviced by an auth... 

I have been disappointed by the dial as well, especially when rolex has such stunning luminova. Please be willing to pm me with a picturemof the dial in light amd dark, so perhaps i will follow suit and change mine.

I also noticed the same on my 5065A as well. I thought I was imagining it, until I saw your picture, which confirms the patina. I wear mine daily. It's my daily beater.
