my wrist is 6.75". I stop at 42mm. if I bought a 50mm watch, I would also have to buy a red wig & a red rubber nose.

if you're in the US, send it to the Stern group (us distributor) for a real servicing. it will be returned factory new with factory papers. I sent them a Aquanaut a couple of years ago. it was well worth the money.

it recently had a factory service. everything but the dial was serviced.

I bought this beauty in the late 1990's. I love how the dial is starting to form patina. notice the difference between the markers & the date wheel.

I agree with you. I sold nearly all of my modern stuff,&I now only collect vintage. as well as being chronometer grade most of the time, the vintage watches just have more panache & mystique. a vintage watch is like Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe, whereas so many modern hockey pucks on the wrist a

more Bob Ridley genius.

vintage Rolex movements are just as tough &accurate as the modern stuff,I.e.,a 1927 watch swam the English channel, &a 1953 watch climbed Everest,so to speak. IMHO, vintage Rolex have more style &panache, the smaller case size being more subtle. Rolex has now joined the dark side & produce " look at
