Best timing for service?
Whit, thanks for the comments! Reading the perspective of someone with 27 years' experience is very helpful. One point (among many) that I found particularly interesting, and had never thought about before: it's good to know when the major auctions occur, so that I can take my watch in for routine service a few weeks BEFORE a major auction, not right after.
